Zoo Patrol: Show 309

Zoo Patrol is in the studio this weekend to share their musical story with our listeners. Adrian Clarke (guitar), Steve Jones (bass) and Joel Litwin (dums) combine their varied influences and eclectic experience to create a slow-cooked, systemically-moving potion of sound.

This band is forming their own sound, inspired by some of the greats in the Jazz/Funk scene. Their song “4th Floor Walk-up”, with its heavy bass and light play along the scales, is just a sample of what this inspired band can produce when left on their own to play. Expect to hear more from these three!

Zoo Patrol, a “chamber groove trio,” plays an infectious amalgam of instrumental blues, jazz, funk, soul, New Orleans and other styles, incorporating a menagerie of space, interplay and improvisation. Zoo Patrol deconstructs and reconstructs, interacts and reacts, whispers and flourishes, with the beat as its guiding principle
