Matney Cook, a Skagit county native, learned to sing with her mother Terri along to Bonnie Raitt in the car and learned guitar on her father Lorry’s Yahama acoustic with 30 years worth of dust. Since then she’s performed at every opportunity, writing songs all along the way, developing a style liken to country but with heavy folk and soul influences.
Currently she can be seen solo, playing with the Mudflat Walkers, or playing with Waterbear.
